About Gulfstream Pool Covers of Texas
My name is Peter Starling. My family and I own Gulfstream Pool Covers. Thirty years ago I installed a safety net, myself, on our pool at our house in Zimbabwe, Africa, to keep our then three-year-old safe. The nets were a new concept and at that time there were no companies selling pool safety nets commercially. That house is still owned by us and the net was re-deployed several years ago when we turned the property into a bed and breakfast.
We moved to Houston in 1980 and thankfully became US citizens. Eight years ago we started Gulfstream in the Austin/San Antonio area with an agency from another manufacturer of pool safety systems. Four years ago we started marketing our own systems and expanded into the Houston and Dallas markets. We now service a large part of Texas.
We take your child’s safety very seriously. Our policy is to use only fully trained pool safety net installers. For the same reason we will never use agents or sell DIY (do it yourself) nets. Knowledge and experience are required to correctly install any of our pool safety products. A DIY net may not necessarily meet ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials Standards) criteria.
As well as the ASTM certified, custom-fitted pool safety nets and removable pool safety fences, we offer custom-fitted, easy-on/easy-off pool leaf covers and a combination safety net and leaf cover. Not only is it inconvenient and time-consuming to constantly be removing leaves and tree debris from the pool for all of the Fall, Winter and Spring months, that debris can and does damage pump equipment and stains the plaster.
Free estimates are done at your home. We bring samples of all the components for your inspection. We only use the highest quality materials and back them up with a 10-year warranty.
