FAQ

Q) Should I get a fence or a net for pool safety?
A) The safer of the two products is the safety net. While on the pool it creates an impenetrable barrier between the child and the water. A fence will keep the child away from the pool but if the child finds a way of crossing the fence you still have an open pool. The net requires the time and discipline of removing to swim and replacing after swimming. The process takes about 5 minutes to remove and 10 minutes to replace on an average pool. All you have to do is go through a gate to use the fence.
Q) My pool is an odd shape and I have a rock waterfall, raised spa and walk in beach. Can a net be installed on this pool?
A) Yes. The net is custom fitted and fits the exact shape of the pool including raised areas and water features. Long negative edges do make installation difficult or impossible and we would have to see the pool to decide if it could be done.
Q) How do you install the anchors into my expensive deck?
A) We use a diamond core drill. The bit is a pipe with diamonds encrusted on the cutting edge. It turns at high revolutions and is water-cooled and flushed. There is no hammer action and will not harm the deck.
Q) What about pool chemical affecting the net?
A) The polyethylene and inhibitors that the net is made of makes it impervious to pool chemicals and gives it a long life in the sun. We give you a 10-year warranty on all the materials we use.
Q) Why is the removable pool fence the best type of fencing to keep my children safe?
A) Our removable pool fencing is made from a vinyl coated polyester mesh material. There are no footholds for adventurous children to use to climb. The poles are extruded aluminum and the wall thickness and double bar design makes them the strongest in the industry. There are big differences in the quality of materials used from manufacturer to manufacturer and it is not always easy for the layman do see them, so price is not a factor when comparing apples to apples.
Q) How easy is it to take down and replace a removable fence if we have a large adult gathering at our house?
A) The average fence that encircles a pool should take about 15 minutes to remove and 15-30 minutes to replace. The fence comes in 14’ sections (6 poles) so you are only dealing with that length each time. We suggest you get a trashcan on wheels and put the section in it as you go around the pool taking it down. When you are finished you can wheel the whole fence to your storage area.
Q) What makes a Gulfstream leaf cover the best for Texas?
A) The Gulfstream leaf cover is made from polyethylene treated with inhibitors, making them impervious to pool chemical and last a long time in the sun. We back this up with a ten-year warranty on all the material we use. The mesh cover is designed to keep out leaves and debris while allowing water to pass through. Solid covers hold water on top. Our unique anchor system allows us to give you a totally custom fitted leaf cover, regardless of raised spas and rock features. They are easy to put on the pool and remove with the lightweight furniture grade PVC roller that comes with the system.
Q) We need a net for safety but we have large trees that drop into our pool all winter long. What can we do?
A) Add a deluxe combo leaf cover to you net order. The net and the leaf covers are separate but the leaf cover can only be used in conjunction with the net. The net supplies the certified safety you need to keep your children safe. In the fall and winter you use the combo leaf cover over the net. It attaches to the same anchors and comes with its own roller for ease of use and storage.
