The Skamper-Ramp SKR4
- designed as the "Keep It Simple Solution," is blowmolded, white, chemical- and UV-resistant, recyclable polyethylene. The lightweight design (under 3 lbs) has three parts that snap together for the easiest possible assembly. It comes with rope, stainless steel D-ring clips, and nylon washers for attachment. This pet ramp is designed for frequent use as well as emergency escape - for small to mid-sized pets and most wild animals. - developed because so many customers ask for a solution that is easier to assemble, it’s even safer for vinyl-lined pools, would work for frequent use by most any sized animal including for very large pets, and could also be used on your floating docks and even for some of your boats.
Installation
We suggest attaching the ramp to the pool’s deck by bolting (if wood) or sinking an anchor (stone, poured concrete, etc) to hold the stainless steel D-ring-clips and rope provided. Alternatively, if there are existing anchors from pool covers or fencing, the ropes could be tied to one of those anchors. The ramps have a knot tied as close to the ramp surface as possible in order to maintain its orientation and not slip along the rope.
Some people choose to use existing railings, pool cover anchors, or water leveler covers, rather than drilling into their deck. In this case, be sure the rope tie-downs are not spread much farther apart than the width of the ramp for optimal performance.
